Services Provided

This Division is responsible for the service of all civil process within Finney County. This includes receiving, logging, locating, serving, and making the proper return on all processes as filed and issued by local and other jurisdictions.

Administrative Staff

The Civil Process Division consists of a Senior Process Server, two process servers and Warrants Captain Travis Zimmerman. The division is under general supervision of the Sheriff.

What is Civil Process?

Civil process includes subpoenas, ordering an individual to appear in court, wage garnishment orders, divorce papers, restraining orders, and many others.

If process is not served properly and a return notification is not made to the court in a timely fashion, civil penalties can result to the Sheriff and/or the deputy.
